MotorcycleBuying a motorcycle has undoubtedly been the best choice I ever made. It's not just a mode of transportation; it's a gateway to adventure and freedom. I find immense joy in exploring new horizons and winding roads during my free time, and my motorcycle has become the perfect companion for these journeys. The sense of exhilaration and connection to the open road is unparalleled. Plus, the benefits are endless – from the thrill of the ride to the efficiency of maneuvering through traffic. It's not just a machine; it's an extension of my soul, providing an escape and a source of endless joy that I cherish every time I hit the open road. On top of this, it is imperative that I mention the mental health benefits that comes along with owning one. I have been fairly open regarding my anxiety at times, but one of the very few things that makes me completely forget that anixety exists is by riding my bike. Although it may entail getting injured or risking death, the enjoyment and ability to clear my mind instantly makes me not worry about the consequences in the slightest. |

OffroadingIn my free time, I thoroughly enjoy riding my quad, and it has become a cherished pastime over the years. A few years ago, I decided to upgrade to a bigger quad, opening up even more possibilities for adventure and utility. What I love most about my quad is its versatility – it's a trusty companion in any weather, be it rain, snow, or sunshine. Just like my motorcycle, it serves as a stress-reliever, allowing me to escape into the great outdoors year-round. Riding with friends is an absolute blast, and every time we venture out, we stumble upon new, hidden gems to explore. Additionally, my quad's utility shines during those rare big storms; I can easily attach a plow and clear pathways not just for myself, but also for my neighbors, turning it into a reliable asset for our community. As with most of my hobbies, I end up doing some dumb things to get adrenaline rushes, but to me it is worth the risk for unforgettable memories. |

SkiingSkiing has captured my heart like no other passion ever could. Each winter, as the first flakes of snow begin to fall, my excitement grows, and I find myself hoping for a blizzard to blanket the slopes in several feet of powder. My only regret in life is not discovering this hobby sooner. Over the years, I've had the privilege of exploring some remarkable ski destinations, from Montage Mountain to the majestic Jay Peak in Vermont, and the breathtaking terrain of Smugglers Notch and Killington. Yet, my bucket list still beckons with the promise of new adventures, with Mount Stowe this year and a distant dream of venturing out west, perhaps to Vail. While Mont Tremblant and the slopes of France remain distant dreams, I'm content exploring the Eastern USA resorts for now. Thanks to years of playing ice hockey, transitioning to skiing and snowboarding was a breeze. Vermont skiing is honestly just better in every way. You can only challenge yourself so much on White Lightning at Montage. Vermont double blacks are a completely different beast. This season, if the snow gods are kind, I plan to delve into some park tricks and, with a bit of determination, aim to attempt a backflip before the season's end. |

Ice HockeyIce hockey has been woven into the fabric of my life since I was just three years old, when I first laced up a pair of skates. While I may not boast the softest hands on the ice, my playing style can be described as a blend of a playmaker and an enforcer. I've always prided myself on being quick on my feet, relentlessly chasing the puck, even though my finishing touch might not always be on point. One player who has left an indelible mark on my hockey-loving heart is none other than Ryan Reaves, especially during his time with the Penguins. The combination of his tenacity and gritty play resonated with me, reminding me of the kind of player I aspire to be. Though my journey in competitive travel hockey came to an end in 2017 when we won the district championship, my love for the sport never went away. In my quest to stay close to the game, I've joined two mid-level men's league teams, ensuring that I can stay on the ice for a bit longer. Hockey, with its blend of finesse and physicality, continues to be my favorite sport by far. |

CarsI've always been drawn to the rush of adrenaline, so it comes as no surprise that I've found immense joy in the world of car building. While it might be my most expensive hobby, the beauty of crafting cars lies in the limitless possibilities they offer. You can transform them into roaring beasts of speed, pushing the limits of what's possible on the road, or you can invest a small fortune in making them look like works of art. It's not always smooth sailing; there are moments of frustration and sweat-drenched labor, but the satisfaction that comes with the finished product is absolutely worth every trial and tribulation. The car community, like any other, has its share of sour apples, but by and large, it's a tight-knit group of individuals who share a profound love for their vehicles. |
